It is hard to believe that Expert Agent launched 4 years ago. In that time, we’ve learnt a lot – most of it as a result of direct feedback from customers.

They loved our low subscriptions, the ability to scale up or down as required and the “work from anywhere” ethic. They liked most things that Expert Agent did for them but they wanted it to look a little better and work in a more coherent fashion.

Our hands were tied somewhat. In 2004 we’d bought a business that had created the basics of Expert Agent.

Expert Agent + New appearance and functionality = Expert Agent 2

Expert Agent launched in 2004. Our team used state-of-the-art techniques and technology but things have moved on. Rather than continuing to improve the old platform, we decided to rewrite completely. We liken this to the way car manufacturers develop a model organically till they can go no further and they start again with a clean sheet . Expert Agent 2 has taken two developers all year to put together.

Expert Agent 2 continues with its unique low-subscription, work from anywhere, no special hardware ethic but adds the following:

Deployment

Expert Agent 2 launches in early August and users can decide whether they want to start using it immediately or continue to use the good old version whilst they get used to the new one. Both use the same data, letters, templates and configuration. However, Expert Agent 2 is much more than just a re-decoration job. Users will soon start to appreciate the many new features. To assist, we will be publishing a new manual and a whole series of integrated video tutorials. Eventually, depending on the success of the early adopters, we will switch off the original version. The earliest possible date for this is 1st November.
