Set on the banks of the River Tyne, The Moorings will comprise of nine stunning detached riverside homes, forming the first phase of the Kelly’s Wharf masterplan. The former Hawthorn Leslie Shipyard, played a vital role during both World Wars. It produced numerous naval vessels during the First World War before embracing the growing popularity of ocean travel in the 1920s, constructing passenger ships for P&O. By the Second World War, the company employed more than 4,000 staff. Today, Kelly’s Wharf marks the beginning of a new chapter for this historic stretch of waterfront. The Moorings represents the first opportunity to become part of this transformation.
